Putting the spotlight the creators and small businesses on TikTok, we are excited to announce the launch of “TikTok Sparks Good”. This docuseries showcases inspiring creator success stories originating from TikTok, narrated by the business/creators themselves, and serving as a driving force for real-world impact beyond the platform, all within 60-second episodes.

TikTok is Where Small Businesses Can Thrive and Build Community

TikTok is a destination where people can discover new small businesses or products to support — countless small business owners have taken the TikTok community inside their world and expanded their business in the process. In just a few short years, we now have more than 350,000 businesses using TikTok to connect with customers and grow their community. Businesses of all sizes, right across Australia, are thriving and have been able to tap into the TikTok community of more than 8.5million Australians and more than a billion globally. The first two installments of the “TikTok Sparks Good” series follow the inspiring stories of a former accounting student and food lover Ali Chebbani aka Chebbo and founder of Chebbos Burgers, and Yasmin Brisbane, aka the Camel Queen who, is the proud owner of QCamel Farm based in Queensland.

• Ali Chebbani, @Chebbo: Accounting student turned food sensation, Ali Chebbani also known as Chebbo is a NSW burger enthusiast and full time creator with a loyal TikTok following of over 1 million! Commonly referred to as Australia’s ‘Burger King’, Chebbo’s Burgers started out as an occasional pop-up store before becoming a fully-fledged business that operated out of is home kitchen with deliveries flying out the door during COVID lockdowns. When he outgrew his kitchen, he opened a food truck station based in Roselands that has seen people from all over Australia visit to get a taste of his burgers. His popularity on TikTok soared, and this success has resulted in his first restaurant in Marrickville set to open its doors in 2023.

• Yasmin Brisbane, @YasminBrisbane: Aka the Camel Queen who, thanks to her 507k followers, is the proud owner of a camel farm, QCamel Farm, based in Brisbane. An ingenious idea that sparked from the drought, Yasmin Brisbane and her family started a Camel Farm on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. Yasmin isn’t looking back at her decision to farm camels, her drought-proof solution has turned lucrative, selling globally and rising to stardom on TikTok for her life on the farm content.

• Dr.Karl, @drkarl: A Nobel Prize-winning Australian scientist, has gained immense recognition and influence in science and education. With 489k followers on TikTok and 4.7 million likes, he captivates audiences with his ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible. Passionate about science education for all Australians, he popularises its benefits with infectious enthusiasm. Dr. Karl is not only an acclaimed author, radio host, and podcaster but also a beloved figure, admired worldwide for his lovable Aussie persona.

• Shelby Sherritt, @shelbysherritt: Known as the “TikTok Pottery Queen,” Shelby showcases her exceptional talent as an Australian artist, drawing inspiration from the breathtaking beauty of the Australian bush. Shelby is a remarkable individual who has achieved tremendous success on TikTok, amassing a staggering 2 million followers and accumulating an impressive 48 million likes on her incredible content. In addition to her artistic prowess, she is also a cancer survivor, symbolizing resilience and strength. Representing regional Australia, Shelby has become a beloved figure and has captured the hearts of many.
